Operation of Aerators to Begin on Otter Lake
Chippewa County will begin operation of the aerators on Otter Lake on or after Friday January 6th, 2024, and continue through the remainder of the winter. The aerators are located in two locations on the lake. One system is near the county park day-use area at the north end of the lake. A second system is located in the south end of the lake, northwest of the south boat landing. Individuals involved in ice fishing, snowmobiling or other activities should be cautious in the areas in immediate proximity to the aerators. Open water and thin ice will exist in the immediate area. The day park area has a beach with swimming area, boat launch, playground equipment, large and small pavilions, grills, and picnic tables. There is also a flushable bathroom.

The pavilions at Otter Lake Day Park are available for reservation. The rental fee is $15.00 without electricity and $22.00 with the electric turned on. The Day Park is open at 9 AM.
 
The small pavilion is located along the entrance road, measures 30’ X 18’, will hold approximately 50 people, and is available from 9AM until 9PM.

The large pavilion is located near the beach, measures 68’ x 40’, will hold approximately 100 people, and is reservable in 2 shifts: 9AM to 3 PM or 3 PM to 9 PM.

The day-use area is gated and locked at 9 pm daily, so please be prepared to exit promptly.
 
NO ATV'S, GOLF CARTS, OR OTHER UNAUTHORIZED VEHICLES ALLOWED IN ANY PART OF THE DAY PARKS OR CAMPGROUNDS.

Location Area
Otter Lake (Brown) is a 602 acre lake located in Chippewa County. It has a maximum depth of 43 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from public boat landings. Fish include Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye.
